Before we take a shoot with our camera, it's best if we know well our gear first. Every type of camera had their own buttons and functions. They are different between cameras. If you bought the camera at the store, You'll get a manual book. Read it carefully, because some times we miss some important things. Even in the same brand each type of versions camera had a different buttons and functions. Like Canon 550D and Canon 50D will have different buttons, functions and features.
However there is some basic functions that on every cameras had. Even they are a different brand. Let me explain one by one.

- Body
What is Body anyway ? Body is a part of camera which handle the image process. Vintage Camera, such us SLR, TLR, or Viewfinder the body is consist of Negative Film. But now at DSLR, Pocket Camera, Digital Medium Format, the body is consist of Image Sensor which will capture the object and record it as images and save it in digital format. - Lens
Lens is an optical device which will capture the object and deliver it into the body of the cameras. On some cameras, lens cannot removed, but in some it can. Right now (2012) there are so many mirror less camera that build with the capabilities to change the lens. Like Sony NEX, Olympus PEN, etc. The DSLR Camera had capabilities to change the lens with type of lens that supported by the body.
- Diafragma/Aperture
Diafragma is a basic knowledge that we must know when taking shoot. Diafragma is a hole of the lens that will control the intensity of the light that captured by the camera. Smallest hole will make the light intensity become low, and Big hole will make the light intensity become High.
- Shutter Speed
Shutter Speed is control how fast the shutter will open and close again int shooting time. Slow speed will make the quantity of the light that goes into the camera become high. While Fast speed will make the light that goes into the camera become small.
Do We really know what is the exact meaning of Photography ? The word photography comes from two ancient Greek words: photo, for "light," and graph, for "drawing." "Drawing with light" is a way of describing photography. And also Photography means the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, or electronically by means of an image sensor. With Photography, we can create a magnificent images even with low end cameras. By knowing how to manage the light control, composition, and proportion we can have a great picture from our camera.
